Income Generation Manager (Interim Commercial Manager) Lancashire Council £400 per day | Initial 3+ month contract Hybrid working – approx. 1 day per week onsite An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Income Generation Manager to join a large public sector organisation in Lancashire on an interim basis. This role sits within a newly established commercial function and will play a key role in driving income generation activity while permanent recruitment is underway. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, enhancing existing income streams, and supporting the development of a more commercially focused culture across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and deliver income generation initiatives across multiple service areas * Identify, develop and implement new commercial opportunities and revenue streams * Maximise the use of existing assets, including property, partnerships and service offerings * Provide commercial insight and strategic advice to senior stakeholders * Support the development of a proactive, commercially driven approach across the organisation Requirements: * Strong background in commercial management within complex organisations * Demonstrable experience in income generation and business development * Proven ability to identify opportunities and convert them into tangible revenue * Comfortable working in an evolving environment with a hands-on approach * Public sector experience is desirable, though not essential Contract Details: * Initial 3+ month assignment * £400 per day * Hybrid working, with approximately 1 day per week onsite in Lancashire This role would suit someone who can quickly add value, operate with minimal direction, and bring a pragmatic, commercially focused mindset.
