SEN Teaching Assistant - Slough

The Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop both academically and personally. Working alongside teachers and wider school teams, you may support children and young people with a range of needs, including: Autism (ASD) ADHD SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Learning difficulties Communication and interaction needs Behavioural needsYour day-to-day responsibilities could include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support Helping pupils engage with lessons and access the curriculum Supporting academic, social and emotional development Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour Helping pupils develop appropriate coping and emotional-regulation strategies Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils Supporting teachers with classroom activities and interventions Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals Creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environmentAt Starfyn Education, we specialise in SEN recruitment, meaning we understand the importance of matching the right people with the right school and pupil.
