Assistant Branch Manager - Plumbers Merchant

Out client is looking for a motivated and customer focused Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations and sales of the Plumbing & Heating branch. Working closely with the P&H Branch Manager, you will help drive sales, maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure efficient branch operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the plumbing, heating sector who is looking to progress into branch management.    Key Responsibilities Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch Assist in achieving branch sales and profitability targets Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and retail customers Deliver high levels of customer service and resolve customer queries effectively Assist with stock control, merchandising and inventory management Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times Handle cash management and branch administration duties Work with suppliers and internal departments to maintain stock availability Step into the Branch Manager role during periods of absence    Skills & Experience Required Previous experience within a plumbing & heating merchant environment Senior Sales, Supervisory or leadership experience Strong sales and customer service background Good knowledge of plumbing & heating products Excellent communication and organisational skills Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability    Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE Company pension Ongoing training and career development opportunities Supportive and professional working environment Opportunity to progress into Branch Manager positions Hours: 6:30 - 4:30 or 7:30 - 5:30 and alternate Saturdays 6:30 - 3:30    Ideal Candidate    The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, commercially minded and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
