Part-Time Year 1 Teacher - Didsbury (October -December)

A welcoming primary school in Didsbury is looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys supporting children through the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 and creating engaging learning experiences that build strong foundations for future learning.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver structured, engaging lessons while nurturing pupils' confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning. A strong understanding of phonics teaching is particularly important, as the successful candidate will help pupils develop their early reading skills and build confidence in recognising sounds, blending and reading words.

The successful candidate will:

• Year 1 curriculum knowledge - understand the transition from EYFS to KS1 and plan lessons that support pupils' academic and personal development.
• Strong phonics knowledge - confidently deliver phonics sessions, support sound recognition and blending, and help pupils develop fluency and confidence in early reading.
