Monarch Education are working with secondary schools across Bristol who are looking for passionate Food Technology Teachers to inspire pupils and support their learning from the start of the new academic year. The role As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils' practical cooking skills, understanding of nutrition, food hygiene and wider knowledge of food preparation and design. You will support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them build confidence, independence and safe working practices in the classroom and kitchen environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher, an early career teacher, or a qualified teacher with a strong food, catering or design technology background who is looking for their next role within a supportive secondary school environment. You will be: * Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 * Supporting pupils with practical cooking, preparation and food safety skills * Promoting safe, clean and organised working practices in the food room * Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, creativity and independence * Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback * Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies * Supporting pupils of varying abilities and learning needs * Contributing to the wider Design Technology or Food Technology department where required * Following safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times We are looking for someone who is: * A qualified teacher with QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching experience * Confident teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting * Creative, organised and passionate about food education * Confident supporting practical lessons in a safe and structured way * Able to manage classroom behaviour effectively * Reliable, adaptable and proactive * Positive, enthusiastic and resilient * Passionate about supporting young people's learning, confidence and development Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status, QTLS or relevant UK teaching experience * Experience teaching Food Technology, Catering, Hospitality or Design Technology at secondary level * Strong classroom management and communication skills * Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one * Right to work in the UK * Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks Apply now If you are looking for a Food Technology Teacher role in Bristol from September, we would love to hear from you.
