Commissioning Manager Public Health

COMMISSIONING MANAGER PUBLIC HEALTH /SEXUAL HEALTH PROJECTS     This is for recruitment for an Agency post for 6 months, 3 days per week to support Sexual Health work at a particularly busy period. Candidate must be able to start immediately. The scope of the work is to progress work related to all age Sexual Health and projects and programmes including providing strong project management, contract management on recently commissioned services, supporting procurement and providing public health/sexual health expertise. Experience of working on sexual health projects/programmes is highly desirable and will be prioritised including Public Health expertise. Sexual health priorities include contract/project management of organisations commissioned to support development of Merton's Sexual and Reproductive Health strategy and engagement work on young people's sexual health services. We have high volume of parallel workstreams all active – as well as re-commissioning, we have multi-LA working, live project workstreams, anticipated London-wide requirements on tariffs, input into the London strategy and so on. There is a need to be flexible to the requirements and needs of the department to support wider Public Health team priorities. During the 6 months we will also be testing a new way of working, while we determine future needs across the all-age sexual health programme and related public health areas.     The role will report to the Head of Public Health Services for Children and Young People and Sexual Health and have guidance/support and matrix management through the Sexual Health Commissioning Manager
