Waste Management Supervisor Location: Leicestershire (various sites) Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour Hours: 22 hours per week (initially across 3 days, moving to 5 shorter days) Sector: Public Sector Contract: Temporary We are recruiting for a Waste Management Supervisor to join our public sector client's Contracts & Compliance Team. Supporting the Waste Management Officer, you will help manage waste and recycling contracts, monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance, and build strong relationships with Waste Collection Authorities and contractors. Key Responsibilities * Support the management of waste and recycling contracts. * Liaise with contractors and Waste Collection Authorities to resolve operational and compliance issues. * Assist with fly-tip disposal, Duty of Care compliance, audits, and holiday waste disposal arrangements. * Produce performance reports and analyse data using Excel, including pivot tables. * Support contract management, invoicing, account queries, and service improvement initiatives. * Provide cover for the Waste Contracts Officer when required. * Maintain effective stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with Council policies. Requirements * Experience in waste management, environmental services, or contract management. * Strong Excel and data analysis skills. * Excellent communication and organisational abilities. * Knowledge of waste legislation and Duty of Care is desirable. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively. * This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy public sector team, contributing to the effective delivery of waste and recycling services across Leicestershire
