Semi Senior Accountant

An established independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant or Senior Accountant to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, supporting clients with their accounting requirements and building long term client relationships. The role will include: Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies Accounts preparation for sole traders and partnerships Assisting clients with Making Tax Digital requirements Liaising directly with clients and responding to day to day queries Working closely with senior staff and partners on client assignmentsThe successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience within an accountancy practice Experience preparing accounts for limited company clients Good communication and client relationship skills AAT qualified, ACCA studying or qualified by experience The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlinesThe firm offers: Salary from c.£27,000 to £35,000 depending on experience ACCA study support through an accredited training practice 28 days annual leave plus a weeks Christmas shutdownIPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
