Assistant Management Accountant

SF are excited to be partnering exclusively with a growing business in Derby who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This role has come up due to progression. Salary up to £35,000 Study support Full office based - Derby 25 holidays + bank holidays Job duties: - Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts - Performing daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations - Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies - Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll journals - Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register - Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes - Processing supplier invoices, bills and other financial transactions - Supporting bookkeeping activities and ensuring accurate ledger maintenance - Assisting with cashflow reporting and analysis - Producing financial reports and supporting variance analysis - Supporting audit requirements and providing information as required - Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls The ideal candidate will have the following: - Previous experience within an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role - Studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA - Strong month-end accounting knowledge - Excellent Excel skills - Excellent attention to detail
