About the role
Academy Analyst at Swansea City AFC seeks a professional to lead performance analysis for the Youth Development Phase (U13–U16) while supporting the Foundation Phase (U9–U12).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all performance analysis support for the Youth Development Phase (U13–U16)
- Support analysis provision within the Foundation Phase (U9–U12)
- Create content for pre‑match, post‑match, game plan, unit, and individual review meetings
- Produce individual post‑match data reports for U13–U16 players
- Deliver training analysis and maintain performance databases
- Capture and film matches and training sessions
- Conduct live coding and provide matchday feedback to coaching staff
- Upload and distribute analysis content through relevant player and staff platforms
- Develop and maintain best‑practice video libraries for teams, units, and individuals
- Support coaches in identifying, monitoring, and developing Individual Player Development Plans (IDPs)
- Utilise internal and external performance data to enhance player evaluations and development processes
- Assist the Head of Academy Performance Analysis with the development and mentoring of Analysis Work Placement Students

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sport Science, or a related discipline
- Experience using industry‑standard analysis software such as Hudl Sportscode or SBG Focus
- Minimum of one year’s performance analysis experience within a professional football academy environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work proactively and independently within a high‑performance environment
- Postgraduate qualification in Performance Analysis or related field (preferred)
- UEFA B Licence (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Creative and open‑minded approach to analysis
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills
- Desire for continual learning and professional growth
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
