Quality Inspector

Competitive Rate | Flexible Starting Hours | Midday Finish Fridays | Potential Contract Extension A contract Quality Inspector position has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. Following continued year-on-year growth, the business requires additional inspection support to meet increasing production demands. You'll complete in-process inspection, ensure components meet drawing and inspection requirements, support the internal non-conformance process and assist with the introduction of new products. Quality Inspector responsibilities include - Completing first-off, receipt and in-process inspection in line with engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions and inspection plans. Using relevant measuring equipment to verify component conformance. Raising internal rejects and ensuring containment actions are recorded and communicated. Supporting Root Cause Analysis activities following non-conformance. Liaising with Engineering to support the smooth transition of new products through NPI. Accurately completing job documentation and recording work within the MRP system.Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience - Previous Quality Inspector experience within a precision engineering environment. Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings, job cards and inspection plans. Experience inspecting manufactured components using standard measuring equipment. Knowledge of first-off, receipt and in-process inspection. Experience using Visual FAIR or Q-Pulse would be advantageous.Quality Inspector contract details - Competitive hourly rate. Daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Flexible starting times. 12:00pm finish on Fridays.
