Commercial Refrigeration Engineer - Bedford  Bedford & surrounding specific cover (MK, OX, LU, HP, NN) £42,757 basic + £2,543 on-call allowance + overtime Full-time | Monday – Friday (40 hours per week) About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading specialist contractor in the foodservice and retail sector, operating as part of a growing UK division. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading, award-winning business delivering high-quality refrigeration services to blue-chip clients across hospitality, foodservice, and food retail environments. You’ll be working across a regional patch in the MK, OX, LU, HP, NN postcodes, carrying out installation, service, and maintenance work on a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems. Key Responsibilities · Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment · Diagnose faults and carry out effective breakdown repairs · Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations · Provide clear communication to clients on work carried out and recommendations · Complete accurate service reports and documentation · Participate in the on-call rota as required What We’re Looking For · Valid F-Gas Certification (essential) · Proven experience in commercial refrigeration (10+ years preferred) · Background working in restaurants, hospitality, or food retail environments · Strong knowledge of chilled and frozen commercial systems · Full UK driving licence · Professional, reliable, and able to perform under pressure · Must be based within MK, OX, LU, HP, or NN postcode areas What’s on Offer · £42,757 basic + £2,543 on-call allowance + overtime · 1 in 6/8 callout – 200-pound standby · D2D Travel · 25 days annual leave + bank holidays · Option to purchase up to 5 additional days · Long-service recognition scheme · Access to company discounts and benefits · Job stability through long-term contracts with major clients · Opportunities for career development within a leading national business
