Estimator

An established and growing construction business specialising in industrial building solutions is seeking a Sales Estimator to join its team based near Market Drayton. This is an office-based position offering an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially aware individual to play a key role in the sales and estimating process, managing enquiries from initial lead through to secured orders. The Role As a Sales Estimator you will be responsible for assessing enquiries, understanding customer requirements and producing accurate quotations within agreed timescales. You will act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the sales process, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism. Key Responsibilities • Speak with prospective customers to gather project information and requirements • Review all incoming enquiries and clarify any outstanding details with clients • Prepare detailed quotations using the company's in-house estimating system • Issue quotations via email and post • Maintain accurate records of all quotations on internal systems • Follow up quotations through regular communication with customers • Revise quotations in line with customer requirements and project changes • Discuss payment terms and commercial arrangements with clients • Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to order placement • Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process Requirements • Previous experience within a sales, estimating or quantity surveying role • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong numerical and analytical abilities • High level of attention to detail • Commercial awareness and understanding of project costing • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines effectively • Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills Desirable • Technical or construction-related background • Experience working with steel framed buildings • Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector
