Freelance Working Site Manager - Preston

Your new company An established regional contractor is seeking an experienced Working Site Manager to oversee a school refurbishment project in Preston. With ongoing work secured across the North West, this is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager looking for their next freelance assignment. Your new role You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of a live school refurbishment project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role where you'll be leading trades, coordinating subcontractors and assisting site operations where required. Key responsibilities include: Managing subcontractors and site labour Overseeing health & safety and site compliance Delivering daily briefings and toolbox talks Monitoring programme and quality standards Coordinating materials and site logistics Liaising with the client and project team Ensuring minimal disruption within a live school environment Supporting site activities to maintain project progress What you'll need to succeed Previous experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects Experience working within schools or live occupied environments desirable Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple trades and activities simultaneously Proactive, hands-on approach to site management What you'll get in return Immediate start available Competitive freelance day rate Weekly pay via PAYE or Umbrella Opportunity to work with a reputable contractor Potential for further projects upon successful completion What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
