Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our team in Rotherham .
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative practice environment, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality bookkeeping support to a varied portfolio of businesses.
About the Role As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records for clients while supporting the wider accounting team with reliable reporting and financial data.
Youll work closely with clients on day-to-day bookkeeping activities and ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of clients Process day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow records Prepare periodic financial reports for review by senior accountants Manage accounts payable and receivable activities Assist clients with bookkeeping queries and provide regular account updates Ensure compliance with VAT, payroll, AML, GDPR, and financial regulations Use accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Support onboarding and financial system setup for new clients Assist with audit preparation and additional finance-related projects when required About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a bookkeeping role, ideally within an accountancy practice Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial processes Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills The ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritise workloads effectively Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interaction A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team Why Join Nuvo?
