As a key member of our organisation, you will contribute to the design and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of building projects, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.Develop and execute electrical engineering designs for building services projects, focusing on LV systems and related componentsPerform electrical engineering analysis and establish project design requirements, criteria, and estimating assumptionsCreate and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software such as Revit and AutoCADCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other building componentsConduct site surveys and inspections to inform designs and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulationsParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and tender interviews to communicate design concepts and solutions effectivelySupport construction and commissioning efforts, interfacing with clients, consultants, and contractorsContribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies within the organizationMentor junior team members and share technical knowledge to foster a collaborative work environmentStay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the field of electrical engineeringQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services EngineeringProven experience in electrical building services design, with a focus on LV systemsProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in 3D modeling and BIMWorking knowledge of electrical design software such as Amtech Pro Design, ElecOM, Dialux, and NES/NBSStrong understanding of LV supply, small power distribution, lighting design, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, and telecommunication servicesExperience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industryFamiliarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentProject management abilities, including time management and organization skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Working towards or holding professional chartership (preferred)Experience with a variety of building projects, such as defense, education, healthcare, and commercial developments (preferred)Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetingsAdditional InformationThe ability to obtain requisite security clearance for working with our Defence Sector clients, the candidate must be a British National of at least 5 years unbroken standing.#EVBAbout AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle - from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
