Senior Social Worker – Children & Families Senior Social Worker – Children & Families Location: Newport, Isle of Wight Council: Isle of Wight Council Contract: Temporary / Full-time Tripod Partners are recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children & Families service at Isle of Wight Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for their next challenge within a supportive local authority environment. The Role You will: * Manage a complex caseload of children and families * Complete statutory assessments * Undertake child protection work * Develop and review care plans * Assess and manage risk * Work directly with children, young people and families * Attend meetings, reviews and other statutory processes * Work collaboratively with partner agencies * Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records * Ensure children remain at the centre of decision-making About You You'll need: * A recognised Social Work qualification * Current Social Work England registration * Strong Children's Social Work experience * Previous Child Protection experience * Experience managing complex cases * Excellent assessment and analytical skills * Strong communication and report-writing skills Apply today to discuss this opportunity with our specialist Children's Social Work team
