Fawkes & Reece are working in partnership with a well-established Cardiff-based construction company that is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected regional contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across South Wales. The successful candidate will oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Leisure, Residential and Retail
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
- Identify and manage project risks and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards while meeting programme and commercial objectives.
- Support the commercial team with cost control, procurement, and contract administration where required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering projects across one or more of the following sectors: commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, residential, or retail.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and project costs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline (preferred).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
