With scope to lead the team, drive strategic growth and build on the firm's established presence, this represents an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make their mark.The OpportunityThe firm is looking to appoint a commercially minded Commercial Property Partner who can take ownership of the team's development, identify new opportunities and play a key role in the wider strategic direction of the practice.You will have the freedom to develop and implement a strategy for growth, strengthen existing client relationships and bring new business into the firm, whilst working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.There is also a genuine openness to considering a team move, making this an attractive proposition for an established team looking for a new platform from which to grow.The RoleTake a leading role in the development and growth of the Birmingham commercial property team.Set and implement a clear strategy for the department, identifying opportunities to expand the practice and increase market share.Manage a varied commercial property caseload, advising on complex transactions and providing commercially focused advice to a broad client base.Develop existing client relationships and generate new business through networking, referrals and business development initiatives.Lead, mentor and develop lawyers within the team, creating a strong platform for future growth.Work closely with the wider partnership to support the firm's strategic objectives and identify opportunities for cross-referral.Play a key role in recruitment and the continued development of the team's profile in the Birmingham market.The CandidateYou will be an established Commercial Property Partner with a strong technical background, a demonstrable track record in business development and the ability to build and lead a successful team.You will be commercially astute, ambitious and keen to take ownership of a department's future direction.
