Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Oldham Salary: £13.25 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Shifts: Waking Nights Contract: Full Time Essential Requirements • Minimum 6 months experience within mental health support or complex care • Experience supporting individuals with severe mental health needs • PMVA Training essential • Ligature Training essential • Full UK Driving Licence essential • Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations • Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management • Right to work in the UK The Role Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to support a young person in Oldham with severe and complex mental health needs. This is a highly rewarding but challenging role requiring experienced and resilient support staff who can build positive therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring safety at all times. Duties will include: • Providing 1:1 support during waking night shifts • Supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health recovery • Monitoring and managing risks within the environment • Following care plans, behaviour support plans, and safeguarding procedures • Supporting with daily living tasks and routines where required • Maintaining accurate records and incident reports • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and the wider support team • Supporting with de escalation and crisis intervention where necessary Benefits • Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour • Consistent full time hours • Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment team • Opportunity to work within a specialist mental health service • Weekly pay Compliance All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references, and compliance checks.
