Shunter Driver - 22:00 to 06:00 - HGV Class 1 (C+E)

AB Texel UK are a large, well-established agricultural bulk transport company who are currently recruiting for a reliable HGV Class 1 driver to shunt at our customers premises in Whittlesey.

*Shift Pattern –*

We currently have the following shift pattern available:

* *4 on 4 off Shift (22:00 - 06:00)*

*What are you going to do?*

This is a physically demanding, yard‑based role, suited to someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, and getting stuck in as part of a hard‑working team.

* Use a tug to shunt trailers on site as per our customers’ requirements.
* Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers and members of the public
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures and DVSA requirements
* Follow all health & safety, site, and company procedures
* Providing customer service as part of this role.

_Physical work required:_

* Ability to couple and uncouple units and trailers.
* Ability to load and unload.
* Ability to climb up onto the back and into trailers.
* Ability to roll bulker sheet from one side to other, where required.

*Who are you?*

Our ideal driver:

* Feels at home in the agricultural sector.
* Is in possession of an HGV Class 1 license
* A clean license is preferred
* Experience desired, however, full training will be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £18.98-£21.03 per hour

Experience:
* Driving a Goods Vehicle: 1 year (preferred)
* Shunting: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
* Category C+E Licence (required)
