The Role This is a Senior Backend Engineering role within a highly experienced cloud-native engineering team.

You'll design, build, and deliver scalable backend services and APIs powering enterprise digital platforms used at significant scale.

You'll work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps specialists, architects, and project teams while contributing to architecture discussions, mentoring developers, and helping shape backend engineering standards across the business.

This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, building modern distributed systems, and working in an engineering-led environment with genuine ownership.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js and TypeScript backend services Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs across cloud-native environments Develop scalable microservices and distributed system architectures Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams on CI/CD and deployment practices Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards Improve software quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability Contribute to cloud-native engineering practices across AWS and Azure environments What You'll Need Essential 5+ years' commercial backend engineering experience Strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise Experience building scalable APIs and microservices Cloud platform experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP Strong understanding of cloud-native engineering and distributed systems Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern Git workflows Strong communication and problem-solving skills Nice to Have Event-driven architecture experience Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code exposure Experience with enterprise integrations or composable commerce platforms SQL/NoSQL database experience and observability tooling exposure Why Apply?
