Role SummaryJoin our Technical Services team as a Senior Platform Architect and drive transformational outcomes with Temporal. You’ll be the accountable technical owner from purchase to stable production, turning complex challenges into scalable, repeatable solutions. Shape delivery patterns, operational standards, and enablement strategies that accelerate customer success and create lasting competitive advantage across teams and environments.What You'll DoOwn Production Readiness and ActivationAct as the single owner of customers' scale-proof production readinessDrive the first production workflow and reduce time-to-productionEstablish guardrails and best practices for reliability, failure handling, scaling, and upgradesMake developers Temporal SDK experts, make customer platform architects Temporal Server and SDK best practice expertsSet up alerting to catch issues before customers doWork on your assigned customers' most difficult tickets and problemsIdentify and remove activation blockers early before they become escalationsOptimize costs and performance with customersRun the Customer's Technical ProgramBuild and execute a KPI-driven success plan tied to production outcomesDefine standards for patterns, training, governance, and operational readinessLead cross-functional coordination of Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams, leveraging project management to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveryProactively manage technical risk, migrations, and architectural debtEnsure Long-Term Technical HealthSet and validate reliability, observability, and operational standardsMonitor health signals and intervene before the customer knows they're happeningLead technical reviews, readiness checkpoints, and maturity assessmentsCertify teams and workloads as production-readyDrive Adoption Through Production SuccessSurface growth signals based on usage, maturity, and confidencePartner with customers, Growth AEs and Solution Architects to unlock new workloadsTranslate production success into clear technical narratives for renewal and growthAdvocate for customer needs and real-world patterns internallyWhat You'll BringYou must reside in the United Kingdom, with a preference for London6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experienceStrong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering principlesProficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or PythonExperience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scaleDemonstrated ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers through resolutionStrong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiencesExperience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materialsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teamsWillingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and team eventsNice to HavesPrior experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platformsExperience with observability tools and practices for distributed systemsBackground in professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering rolesExperience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code toolsContributions to open source projects or developer communitiesExperience designing and delivering technical training or workshopsTemporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
