Lex Exec is working with one of the UKs leading Employment practices on an opportunity for an ambitious Employment Associate, ideally 1-4 PQE, to join its London team.

This is an opportunity to build your career within a genuinely market-leading Employment practice, working alongside some of the best-known lawyers in the field and advising an outstanding mix of UK and international clients.

The team acts for major corporates, household-name brands, senior executives and fast-growth businesses across the full spectrum of employment law.

The work

You can expect exposure to a sophisticated and varied caseload including:

• Complex Employment Tribunal litigation
• Senior executive disputes and exits
• High Court litigation, restrictive covenants and team moves
• Strategic HR and employment advisory work
• Restructuring, redundancy and organisational change
• Employment aspects of M&A and corporate transactions
• Trade union and collective matters
• International and multi-jurisdictional employment projects

This is not a role where you will be confined to one narrow area of Employment law. There is genuine breadth, high-quality client contact and the opportunity to develop both technically and commercially.

Who we are looking for

We are particularly interested in speaking with lawyers around 1-4 PQE with experience gained within a respected Employment practice.

You are likely to have:

• Strong experience of employer-side advisory and/or contentious Employment work
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills
• The confidence to take responsibility for matters and deal directly with clients
• A commercial and pragmatic approach
• An interest in developing client relationships and becoming involved in business development
• The ambition to develop within a genuinely top-tier Employment practice

Exceptional NQ candidates may also be considered, particularly those with strong Employment experience gained during training.
