About the role

Senior Transport Planner With over 55 years experience in the haulage industry McCulla Ireland are one of the countrys leading providers of Ambient, Chilled and Frozen logistics solutions throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. There is an ever-growing modern fleet consisting of over 120 vehicles and 200 trailers operating our just in time service with sustainability at the forefront of everything we do. We are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner seeking further progression and development to join our team at Lisburn HQ. The successful candidate will have strong ambitions to become a senior leader within our Transport Operations. About The Role Duties: Assign customer sales to transport in the most cost effective and efficient way to make a delivery. Oversee the deliveries and internal functions of our NI operations, inclusive of groupage and full loads. Achieve KPI targets ensuring best utilisation of fleet, drivers, sailings & subcontractors. Strive to ensure that all delivery requests are met for all customers. Create reports and delivery schedules for customers and different departments. Liaise and communicate with Customer Services and Sales to identify issues that may affect the agreed delivery time, in order to keep the customer updated. Work closely with the Sales team to ensure that accurate order information is obtained before a delivery is scheduled. Continue to identify ways in which further improvements to performance and service delivery can be made to our customers. Minimum of 24 months of experience working in a transport planning role particularly. Experience in supervision of a team up to 6 people preferred. Experience in communicating with HGV Drivers and knowledge of driver hour regulations. Strong geographical knowledge and route planning experience across the UK & Ireland. Flexible attitude to working hours & shift patterns to support the needs of the business. Transport CPC preferred. Terms: Full Time, Permanent Role. Monday Friday. Rotating 1 weekend in 6.
