About the role

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Principal Engineer – Electrical Plant to drive technical policy and support delivery on high‑voltage transmission projects across the UK. You will lead the specification and assessment of substation electrical plant, ensuring designs meet stringent standards and network requirements.

This role requires Chartered Engineer status (or progress toward it) and extensive experience with AIS, GIS, FACTS/HVDC at transmission voltage levels.
