Role: Cover Supervisor General Cover

Overview:
As a General Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes across a range of subjects in a secondary school during teacher absences. You will ensure continuity of learning by delivering pre-set work and maintaining a positive and controlled classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons across various subjects using pre-prepared materials
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students with general questions (not subject-specific teaching)
• Take attendance and follow school procedures
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards

Requirements:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence covering a variety of subjects xwzovoh
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently

Desirable:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
• Familiarity with UK school systems and policies
• A degree or relevant education-related qualification
