Transport Administrator - Cambridge
Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and looking to build a career in logistics?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cambridge Transport Team, supporting the movement of life science shipments that make a real difference to people's lives.
As a Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring our transport operations run smoothly by providing administrative support, maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will liaise with drivers, suppliers, customers and colleagues across the business to ensure shipments are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
Role Responsibilities Overview:
• Monitoring transport inboxes and ensuring queries are actioned promptly
• Answering telephone calls and responding to internal and external enquiries
• Confirming completion of collections and deliveries and updating systems accordingly
• Monitoring driver progress and communicating any delays or service issues to operational teams
• Maintaining accurate transport and supplier information within company systems
• Supporting the management and verification of supplier costs and invoices
• Assisting with resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate records, filing and data entry across transport systems
• Building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Supporting compliance with transport procedures, safety standards and company SOPs
What We Offer You:
Competitive salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Work Environment:
• Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 and 10:00 -18:30 (rota basis)

What You'll Bring:
• Previous experience in an administrative, logistics or customer service role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
