About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
Welder / Fitter
to join their growing team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with strong fabrication, welding, and fitting experience to work on a variety of bespoke projects within a busy and professional workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, fabricating and assembling components, and carrying out high-quality welding and fitting work to exact specifications. Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, fabricate, and assemble components from engineering drawings. Carry out MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard. Fit and install fabricated components and assemblies. Work with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications. Use workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively. Troubleshoot fabrication and fitting issues as they arise. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Adhere to all health and safety procedures. Requirements
Proven experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or Welder/Fitter. Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings. Strong MIG welding skills; TIG welding experience advantageous. Experience with structural steelwork, fabrication, and assembly. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK Driving Licence preferred. Benefits
