Lecturer in Animal Welfare & Management
Salary: £28,056 - £34,492 per annum
Location: East Midlands
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer to join a thriving land-based college and inspire the next generation of animal care professionals.

The Role
You will deliver engaging and practical Animal Welfare & Management lessons across a range of programmes, supporting learners to develop the skills and knowledge required for careers within the animal care industry.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching across Animal Welfare & Management programmes
Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression opportunities
Act as a course tutor, monitoring attendance, progress, and student wellbeing
Participate in practical demonstrations and industry-related learning activities
Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
Support student recruitment activities, including open events and careers fairs
Essential Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Welfare, Animal Management, Animal Science, or a related discipline
Relevant industry experience within the animal care sector
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or willingness to work towards one
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
