Import Specialist

We are partnering with a Freight Forwarder that's hiring an Import Specialist in Essex.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating communication across our diverse network, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots, ensuring seamless operations.
• Handling LCL shipments
• Coordinating deep sea and air freight shipments
• Auditing supplier invoices for accuracy and addressing discrepancies as necessary.
• Monitoring vessel arrivals to stay ahead of logistics and scheduling needs.
• Initiating and managing internal files to maintain organizational efficiency and document control
• Generating invoices to ensure accurate billing and financial documentation
• Coordinating collections and deliveries, prioritising adherence to customer deadlines for optimal satisfaction

Skills xwzovoh Required:

• 2+ years experience working for a freight forwarder
• Deep sea imports experience
• Air freight knowledge preferred
• Experience using software such as CNS, Multi Freight or Destin8
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
