Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician Altera Recruitment Group is supporting an innovative engineering business in the appointment of a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Midlands, South Wales and the South Coast. This position does not require someone with extensive mechanical/electrical experience, as full training will be provided to service and maintain the machines. If you have prior experience in a hands-on position and are able to drive a large van, you will be considered. The Field Service Technician will play an important role in keeping equipment operating reliably while providing a professional service and building strong relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician * Carry out planned servicing, routine maintenance, basic fault finding and minor repairs at customer sites. * Complete service records, paperwork and job documentation accurately, reporting equipment faults and repair requirements promptly. * Follow customer site rules, health and safety procedures and company working practices at all times. * Provide a professional and courteous service while representing the business on customer premises. * Support collections, deliveries, equipment preparation and other practical duties when required. Candidate Requirements * Previous experience in field service, maintenance, engineering, facilities, manufacturing or another practical customer facing role would be beneficial. * Practical mechanical, electrical or basic engineering knowledge is desirable, although full training will be provided. * Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and use good judgement. * Reliable, organised and hardworking, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake regular UK wide travel.
