Capacity Manager - Active SC Clearance Required | Remote | 6-month contract

We are looking for an experienced IT Capacity Manager to support a major public-sector technology environment. You will ensure sufficient service, infrastructure and application capacity is available to meet current and forecast demand, reducing the risk of performance degradation and service outages.
The role will involve monitoring capacity and performance trends, identifying constraints before they affect live services and coordinating capacity planning across multiple technical teams.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor infrastructure, application and service-capacity trends
Identify capacity constraints, performance issues and operational risks
Produce capacity forecasts and demand-growth plans
Develop performance and utilisation reports and dashboards
Complete capacity risk assessments and improvement plans
Coordinate capacity planning across technical and operational teams
Assess the capacity and resilience impact of major incidents
Support recovery planning where service performance is affected
Escalate capacity-related risks to operational and senior stakeholders
Drive continual improvement across capacity-management processes
Essential experience:
Current and active SC clearance
Strong IT capacity-management or service-capacity experience
Capacity forecasting, demand planning and utilisation analysis
Infrastructure, application or cloud-service performance monitoring
Production of capacity reports, dashboards and risk assessments
Experience working across multiple technical and service-management teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and risk-management skills
ITIL-aligned service-management experience
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana, Power BI or Azure Monitor would be advantageous.
Previous experience within government, defence, justice or another large, highly regulated environment would also be beneficial. xwzovoh
