Whether it’s a rail link, wind farm, or flood defence barrier, the goal is to create tangible benefits for individuals, communities, and economies What you’ll doOperate NEC and other forms of contract and ensure compliance with contract process and timelinesLiaise with design and planning teams to ensure commercial considerations are embedded in early design decisionsManage contractor and supplier engagement alongside the client and key stakeholdersSupport or lead a small commercial team, setting clear goals and overseeing performanceEnsure clear communication and alignment across stakeholder regarding budgets, risks, and contractual obligationsProvide cost planning, budget, monitoring, and cost control throughout the project life cycleMaintain accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for client reportingConduct value engineering and whole-life cost analysis to ensure value for money What you’ll bring The successful candidate will have relevant experience within Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. It would be beneficial to have a background in Infrastructure, Civils, Rail, or Utilities. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a methodical way of thinking and the ability to adapt quickly. Excellent problem solving, negotiating, finance and numeracy skills are also beneficial.Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or similar relevant discipline. In some cases, candidates from alternative backgrounds might be considered.Professional qualifications like RICS, CIPS, or CIOB desired, but not essential Your developmentWe’ll support and empower you to develop your career path the way you want to.
