About the Role:Are you a seasoned project manager with a passion for delivering large-scale civil/highway infrastructure projects?We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Major Projects Delivery Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of highway projects within our Highways Delivery Management service. The Major Projects Delivery Manager will collaborate with other Function Delivery Managers within the Delivery team and their Commissioning counterparts and is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that are critical to our highway network and community.Key Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of commissioned projects, ranging from small-scale interventions to capital projects exceeding 100 million.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers, directors, and external suppliers.Ensure projects are delivered in line with best practice management principles and agreed specifications.Provide strategic advice on governance and resources for highways, transport, environment, and waste projects.Manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with NEC Contracts and other relevant regulations.Drive innovation and best practices across the supply chain to enhance project delivery.Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring financial and regulatory compliance.Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the team.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Substantial managerial experience in a related field, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary highway related projects.Extensive experience in programme and project management, ideally within the public sector.Strong understanding of project and programme delivery principles, particularly in the infrastructure sector.Experience with NEC Contracts and financial management at a project and programme level.Ability to manage and develop a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Desirable Qualifications:Relevant professional qualification in civil/highway engineeringProject Management experience in relevant fieldExtensive highways related experienceNEC Accreditation.Experience in a political environment and working with external partners.Why Join Us?Be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering impactful infrastructure projects.Opportunity to work on high-profile projects that make a real difference to the community.Competitive salary and benefits package.Supportive and collaborative work environment.If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you.
