Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role : Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter Salary : £44,000 to £45,000 per annum paid overtime benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements Hours : Days (6am to 6pm) on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days) Location: Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas Company We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories.

Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working Days (6am to 6pm) on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days).

Your role will include: Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.

Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Assist being hands on in other areas of the factory when needed Requirements Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments
