The business specialises in the delivery of complex refurbishment projects, with around 70% of its current workload focused on major cladding replacement and building remediation schemes on high-rise buildings. Planner – The Role Based from the Cardiff office, you will work closely with the pre-construction and operational teams, providing planning support across projects from tender stage through to construction and completion. The role would suit an experienced Planner from a main contracting background. Previous cladding or building remediation experience is not essential – candidates with strong planning experience across new build, refurbishment or fit-out projects will be considered. Key responsibilities will include: * Developing detailed tender and construction programmes * Producing and maintaining project programmes throughout the delivery phase * Working closely with estimating, commercial and operational teams * Reviewing construction methodology, sequencing and logistics * Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays * Supporting project teams with short-term and recovery programmes * Producing programme updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders * Attending tender, pre-construction and project meetings * Assessing programme risk and helping develop mitigation strategies * Supporting multiple projects across the region where required Planner – The Person * Previous planning experience within a main contractor * Experience across new build, refurbishment or fit-out construction projects * Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodology * Experience producing tender and live construction programmes * Competent with industry-standard planning software * Commercially aware with strong communication skills * Able to work effectively with both pre-construction and operational teams Planner – The Reward * £70,000 – £90,000 depending on experience * Comprehensive company package * Technically interesting and high-profile refurbishment projects * Strong secured pipeline of work * Fast-growing and entrepreneurial working environment * Excellent long-term career and progression opportunity
