Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Kent Salary: Up to £58,000 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rotating days and evenings A leading food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. The Role Reporting into the Engineering function, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production equipment to ensure operational efficiency and high levels of reliability. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities * Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults efficiently * Supporting continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve performance * Working closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities * Managing critical spare parts and supporting parts procurement * Assisting with the installation, commissioning and modification of equipment * Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site health & safety standards * Supporting the ongoing development of maintenance systems and best practices About You We are keen to speak with engineers who have experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, fresh produce, or other fast-paced manufacturing environments. You will ideally have: * A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, ONC, 18th Edition or equivalent) * Strong electrical fault-finding skills with supporting mechanical knowledge * Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment * PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience * Experience using CMMS maintenance systems * A proactive and solutions-focused approach * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * A commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement What's on Offer? * Salary up to £57,750 * Pension scheme * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Performance-related bonus opportunities * Free onsite parking * Additional employee benefits package If you're a Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to join a successful and growing manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you
