Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Senior Cyber Security Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to support a defence client in a hands on role combining security engineering, threat detection and incident response.

This opportunity would suit a technically strong cyber security professional with experience across both offensive and defensive security, capable of operating independently while working closely with infrastructure and wider IT teams to strengthen security across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage security alerts across endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and conditional access.
• Conduct daily security checks, review vulnerability scans, manage tickets and maintain accurate security logs.
• Support vulnerability remediation activities, working alongside infrastructure engineers to address identified risks.
• Contribute to Microsoft-centric security projects and help improve the organisation's security posture.
