Business Development Manager (Housing / Roofing / Property Maintenance)
Exeter / South West England
£60,000-£65,000 (OTE £80,000-£120,000+) + Uncapped Commission + Company Vehicle + Quarterly Bonus + Laptop + Mobile
Are you a Business Development Manager, Framework Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Manager with experience winning work within housing, roofing, construction or property maintenance, looking for a senior role where you can use your industry relationships to secure high-value, long-term contracts?
On offer is the opportunity to join a growing roofing and property maintenance contractor with ambitious expansion plans across the South West. This is a high-impact commercial role where you will be responsible for developing strategic relationships, identifying framework opportunities and securing recurring revenue from Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Main Contractors and commercial clients.
In this role, you will take ownership of new business development across the South West, using your existing network and proactive approach to generate opportunities, arrange meetings and win new contracts. You will work closely with operational teams to develop commercially viable proposals and turn opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
This role would suit a Business Development Manager, Framework Manager, Business Development Director, Key Account Manager, Commercial Manager or Sales Manager with experience within roofing, housing, planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, construction, property services or social housing.

The Role
- Win new business across the South West
- Build relationships with Housing Associations and Local Authorities
- Identify framework and tender opportunities
- Develop relationships with Main Contractors and commercial clients
- Attend networking events and meet-the-buyer sessions
- Arrange meetings with procurement and asset management teams
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Work with operational teams to secure contracts
- Maintain CRM activity and commercial reporting
- Proven new business sales experience
- Background within roofing, construction or property maintenance
- Housing Association or Local Authority experience desirable
- Existing industry contacts and decision-maker relationships
- Experience winning frameworks, tenders or recurring contracts
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a regional territory
- Full UK driving licence
