Resident Site Engineer

Resident Site Engineer Up to £55,000 per annum | Permanent | Double Days | Automated Warehouse We are currently recruiting for an experienced Resident Site Engineer to join a fully automated warehouse operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong electrical or mechanical background to work within a highly automated environment, maintaining and fault-finding on equipment including conveyors, cranes, lifters, monorails and automatic wrapping systems. The Role You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and ongoing support of automated material handling equipment, helping to keep the site running efficiently and minimise downtime. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Diagnosing and prioritising system faults Carrying out scheduled repairs and reactive maintenance Fault-finding on automated equipment Working with PLC systems and fault-finding to I/O level Reading and working from mechanical, electrical and electronic drawings Recording maintenance and repair activity accurately Supporting continuous improvement initiatives Managing and maintaining appropriate levels of on-site spares Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard Working closely with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders Working Hours Monday-Friday, rotating double days: 06:00-14:00 14:00-22:00You will also work one Saturday every four weeks, 06:00-14:00, with the preceding Monday off. Important: You must be comfortable working at heights of up to 32 metres. What We're Looking For Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with an electrical or mechanical bias Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent Time-served engineering apprenticeship Experience working with automated systems Experience with equipment such as pallet conveyors, cranes and automatic stretch wrappers Good understanding of PLC systems and I/O-level fault finding Experience with PPM Experience using CMMS for maintenance management and fault reporting Ability to read technical drawings and manuals Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Teams Strong Health & Safety awareness Comfortable working at height Package 25 days annual leave Private healthcare Company pension scheme Cycle to Work schemeIf you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to work in a highly automated environment with excellent earning potential and benefits, we'd love to hear from you.
