About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Performing mechanical fitting tasks on marine vessels
Conducting maintenance, repairs and installations on various equipment
Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
Collaborating with other team members to ensure project targets are met
Documenting and reporting work completed and any issues encountered
Adhering to project deadlines and maintaining a high level of workmanship
Job Requirements:
Experience in shipbuilding/shiprepair or ex Royal Navy
Strong mechanical fitting skills
Relevant qualifications (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship)
Current SC Clearance is essential - will require confirmation form UKSV
Working Hours:
Normal dayshift: 08:05 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 08:05 to 12:05 Friday
Overtime available project dependant
Possible requirement for AWP (Alternative Working Pattern): 12-hour shifts on a 21-day rotation which is paid at an uplfit
One rate all hours - £39/h Umb co or £29.12/h PAYE plus £3.51/h holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced)
