Job Advert: Skilled Labourer / Groundworker Assistant Job Title: Skilled Labourer (with Groundworks experience) Location: Cambridge (Free on-site parking / accessible via public transport) Pay Rates: £14.24 per hour (Randstad PAYE) OR up to £17.00 per hour (Umbrella / CIS) Position: Temporary / Contract Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Skilled Labourer / Groundworks Assistant to join a busy, fast-paced commercial project in Cambridge. This isn't your standard tidying role-we need someone who is happy to get stuck in with the ground crew. You will be supporting a major, well-established infrastructure and services contractor on-site. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with basic groundworks including shallow digging, trenching, and backfilling. Moving materials, aggregates, and muck around the site safely. Supporting skilled groundworkers, pipe-layers, and machine operators. Maintaining site safety, clearing walkways, and general site duties as required. What We Need From You: Valid CSCS Card (Essential). Full PPE (Hard hat, hi-vis, steel toe boots, gloves, and glasses). Proven experience working as a Skilled Labourer or Groundwork Labourer. Must be physically fit, reliable, and a good team player. Ability to provide a minimum of one recent, checkable work reference.
