Cpl UK Healthcare are delighted to be working alongside an Academy Trust to recruit a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join their specialist team in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with children and young people with moderate to complex autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within a specialist educational setting.


The Role

You will provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention, supporting pupils with complex communication needs to develop their communication, participation, and independence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a specialist paediatric Speech and Language Therapy caseload
  • Assess children and young people with moderate to complex ASD
  • Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes
  • Support pupils with complex communication and social communication needs
  • Work closely with teachers, Occupational Therapists, psychologists, families and other professionals
  • Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews and multidisciplinary reports
  • Provide training and practical communication strategies to school staff and parents/carers
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures


Requirements

  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASD
  • Experience within paediatric or specialist educational settings
  • Knowledge of complex communication needs and neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication and organisational skills xwzovoh
  • Ability to manage a specialist caseload independently
