Class 2 (HGV 2) Driver Location: Shrewsbury Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm Pay Rate: From £15 per hour Contract: Temporary to Permanent Class 2 Driver Required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (HGV 2) Driver on behalf of our client based in Shrewsbury. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering long-term stability with a reputable local business. The role combines Class 2 driving duties with a significant amount of manual handling and handballing, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out heavy lifting throughout the working day. Duties Include: * Operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and efficiently * Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner * Loading and unloading vehicles * Heavy lifting and handballing of goods * Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects * Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately * Complying with all transport legislation, driver hours, and health & safety procedures * Providing excellent customer service when making deliveries The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence * Valid CPC Qualification Card * Digital Tachograph Card * Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience * A good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations * A reliable and professional attitude * Good communication skills * The ability to undertake physically demanding work and heavy manual handling duties What's On Offer? * £15.50 per hour * Monday to Friday working hours * 7:00am – 5:00pm shifts * No weekend working * Temporary-to-permanent opportunity * Immediate start available * Opportunity to join a growing and established business on a permanent basis If you are an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a long-term opportunity in the Shrewsbury area, please apply today
