Barrow-upon-Humber £48,000 per annum 180 hours per month (generally days flexibility required) 27 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Our client, a major industrial operator within a heavy engineering environment, is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their Engineering Maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served electrician looking to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical industrial setting.
Must have experience maintaining plant & machinery in heavy industrial environments

The Role
You will work as part of a maintenance team responsible for planned preventative and reactive maintenance across plant, machinery and control systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out hands-on electrical maintenance on plant and equipment
Fault finding across control systems and PLCs
Isolating plant and equipment safely
Responding to unplanned breakdowns to meet reliability targets
Completing job cards and maintenance system updates
Working to strict safe systems of work and permit procedures
Supporting operational teams to ensure efficient vessel loading & discharge
Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders
Flexibility is essential due to the operational nature of the site, including occasional nights and weekends. xwzovoh

About You
We are looking for someone with:
Time served Electrician status
HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or Apprentice trained
Experience maintaining plant & machinery in heavy industrial environments (e.g. mining, quarrying, process, manufacturing)
Strong knowledge of control systems & PLCs
Excellent fault-finding ability
Experience working safely under pressure in busy environments
Understanding of permit-to-work systems
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work at heights
You will be proactive, safety-focused and capable of planning your own workload effectively.
