- Barraclough Hall School Teaching Assistant Contract: 12-month fixed term, part time, term time only.
Positions available for 2 days a week, Wednesdays/Thursdays and Thursdays/Fridays Salary: £21,257.48
- £23,232.69 (pro rata: £12,754.48

Role Responsibilities Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six) Support the classroom teacher during lessons Report on progress and concerns, liaising with school staff Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips Assist with lesson planning and preparation Set work and mark where appropriate Build positive relationships and support learning outcomes Requirements Strong basic education (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant desirable) Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting Ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school or activities Experience of behaviour management Commitment to professional development Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check What We Offer A workplace that values wellbeing Ongoing training and development opportunities The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people A supportive and inclusive team The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, cost covered by Polaris Community.
