Position: Wide Web Flexographic Printer - 8 Colour CI Press
Location: Halesowen
Employment: Full-time
Shifts: 4pm - 12pm
Salary: £15.60 - £18.40 p/h
My client is are currently looking for an experienced Wide Web Flexographic Printer to join their team in Halesowen.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled printer with experience operating an 8-colour CI flexographic press, particularly those with knowledge of Comexi and/or Uteco presses.
Purpose of a Wide Web Flexographic Printer:
As a Wide Web Flexographic Printer, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the printing press to ensure production is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting and operating an 8-colour CI flexographic press
Loading and preparing materials and substrates for production
Maintaining accurate colour, registration and print quality
Carrying out routine quality checks throughout production
Making adjustments to maintain consistent print standards
Carrying out basic maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
Working closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams
Following all health & safety, housekeeping and company procedures
Supporting continuous improvement activities
Helping to reduce waste and improve press efficiency and productivity
Ensuring production schedules and customer specifications are consistently achievedIdeal Skillset for a Flexographic Printer:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable printer who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in industrial print production
Experience operating wide-web flexographic printing presses
Experience with 8-colour CI presses
Good knowledge of different substrates and packaging materials
Strong understanding of colour management and registration
Good visual inspection and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to identify and resolve minor press and equipment issues
A good understanding of quality standards and production requirements
A strong commitment to health & safety
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience within flexible packaging or packaging print manufacturing is highly desirable
Comexi and/or Uteco press experience would be a significant advantage
Flexibility to work a mixed shift pattern covering days, evenings and nightsWhat I am looking for:
