Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality clinical care to patients registered at the GP surgery and work closely with clinical leads and local practice team to support the operational plan.
- Maintain practice quality by participating in clinical governance activities and improving health outcomes through audit, the Quality and Outcomes Framework and other quality standards, including CQC standards.
- Provide clinical care in line with the triage model, including in‑person and video consultations, telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews, prescription signing and other clinical administration, safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on‑call (excluding out of hours).
- Adhere to highest personal and professional standards set by the GMC, prioritising individual patient care.
- Support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead – covering list growth, patient satisfaction, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with the GMC and on the NHS performers list, engaged in regular clinical work.
- Experienced doctor with GP accreditation – MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
- Clear commitment to delivering quality, patient‑focused services.
- Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
- Working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISWeb.
Package Description
- Annual salary up to £112,500 depending on experience and £11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs.
