Hygiene Supervisor

Location: West Yorkshire Sector: Food Manufacturing Shift Pattern: Full-time Mon - Fri Days Salary: Circa £40,000 A well-established and growing food manufacturing business in West Yorkshire is looking to recruit an experienced Hygiene Supervisor to join its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong food manufacturing hygiene experience who enjoys leading teams and maintaining high food safety standards in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and support the hygiene team across production and factory areas * Ensure all cleaning schedules and CIC documentation are completed accurately * Verify cleaning standards through inspections and audits * Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP and BRCGS standards * Support allergen control and hygiene verification procedures * Manage chemical usage and COSHH compliance * Train and develop hygiene operatives to maintain best practice standards * Liaise with production and technical departments to ensure hygiene targets are achieved * Investigate hygiene issues and implement corrective actions where required * Support external audits and customer visits Requirements * Previous experience in a Hygiene Supervisor or Senior Hygiene role within food manufacturing * Good understanding of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems * Experience completing hygiene paperwork and inspection records * Strong leadership and communication skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced factory environment * Food Safety/Hygiene qualifications desirable * Knowledge of allergen control and audit standards preferred Benefits * Competitive salary * Training and development opportunities * Stable long-term opportunity within an established manufacturer * Company pension * Employee benefits scheme
